Strong Market Demand For Fruit

Messrs Townsend and Paul, Ltd., fruit and produce merchants, Wellington, report tliat at last week's saie there was a particularly strong demand for peaches, apricots, cherries and dessert plums, while a slight improvement was felt in the sale of tomatoes, with hot-house ripes realising up to Is 5d per l'b.
