Received Saturday\ 12.55 a.m. PRETORIA, Dec. 16. An appeal to white South Afrieans to maintain white supremacy was made by the South African Premier, Dr. Alalan, and the Finance Alinister, Mr Havenga, at the opening today of the Voortrekker monument to the white man's defeat of the Zulu. Dr. Malan declared that South Afrieans today were threatened by "ab sorption into semi-barbarisni though miseegenation and the disintegration ot the white race. "Will South Africa for yourselves and your children accept tlie challenge land ta,ke up your task with courage and deterrtiination. A white South Africa is the answer.-to this and can be given only by ourselves, by the world today and by our deeds hereafter." Mr Havenga said: "I wish t'o emphasise'this great mcff-al prineiple — those in authority and Europeans must con tinue to be in authority. They have in thei# hands a powerful weapon, but they must always wield that power jusfly an-d f airly. ' '
