Valuable Daffodil Bulbs Stolen. Thieves stole 15 valuable daffodil bulbs from the garden of the Hawera home of* Mr.' Charles Goodson, a widely-known - ,Korticulturist, who 'died recently. They are worth over £100. The- bulbs were planted in a bed about 100 yards from the house. The thieves selected a handful of the rarest and most valuable bulbs from 2000 in the bed. Others were not touched. Ihe thieves apparen-tly had an expert knowledge of daffodils. "When the theft was discovered the rest of the bulbs were dug to protect them from further possible raids. The ' bulbs were among the last raised by Mr. Goo'dson before his death and were so rare that they would attract immediate attention if shown at any horticultural show ih New Zealand. ■ '
