The United Press say that Britain feels the United States is "missing the boat" in refusing to recognise the Chinese Communist Government, say informed sourees. The British -view was made clear during reeent conversaLons with State Department officials. Informed quarters said . Britain argued that the West must recognise the Red regime and keep dipiomatic observers in China. The British feel that ihis would enable '.he West to watch Chinese developments so closely that Moscow would have to operate under wraps if it tries to take over the regime. This is based on the assumption that the Russians would be reluctant to show their hand with Western dipiomats looking on.
