Sunday School Party At Koputaroa
The Koputaroa Hall was a scene of gaiety on Saturday night, the occasion being the Salvation Army's Sunday School Christmas party. The guests of the evening were Major and Mrs. Argyll, of Eltham, who gave an interesting address on India, where they have resided for some years. To illustrate the talk, a number of children were dressed in Indian cDstumes. A display of Indian art ' and craft was much appreciated. The highlight of the evening was the arrival of Father Christmas, who distributed gifts ' from the gaily-decorated Christmas Tree. As an appreciation of their work and co-operation during the year, each mother was the recipient of a posy. A bouquet was presented to Mrs. Argyll by Mrs. Stratton and, on b&'half of those present, Mr. R. S. Brown thanked Major and Mrs. Argyll for the part they had played in contributing to the success of the evening. Credit was also due to Mr. and f Mrs. W. Muirhead, who conducted the Sunday School, and their popularify was shown by the response to a call by Mr. W. J. Lancaster for three cheers.
