Arrested last evening after a long ; intervie-w at the detective uffiee, Mrs. , Una Jean Riga Corin, aged 33, was ^ eharged in the Police Conrt today with , attempting to murder Alrs: Adrienne ' Honey at Blockhouse Bay on Oetober ! 24. • • ' "The eharge arose out of the alleged discovery of powdered glass and poison in a billy of milk left near the home of Mr. Gilbert Honey, a earpenter, hia wife, and two young sons. . The-accused' was Ln tears during the brief period she was in the doek today. Defenee cbunsel (Mr. R. K. Davison) consented to a remand until Decernber 15 as requested by tlie poliee. ''1 would ask that she be re leased on bail and also that an order be made that her name be not published," c.ounsel added. "She is living apart from her husband and she has three children." The Magistrate (Air. F. AleCarthy) Lnterrupted counsel to say that he would hear the application in ehainbers. Later it wras announced that a re mand' had been granted, but that bait had been refused and that no order had been made for the suppressioi! of the name. Meanwhile, the three chili ren are being cared for in the home of their father.
