AUCKLAND, Dec. 7. The pblice are searching. for a man who ehtered the home of a farmer near Matamata early this uiorhihg and fired a shot at him. The man attacked, whb was not tnjured, is Mr. John Kenhedy Glliott, of Auckland Road, between Cambridge and Matamata, and nine miles from the Karapiro dairy factory. Mr. Elliott was awakened at 1.30 a.m. A man who had ehtered the room fired a shot at him but missed, hitting the pillow on which Mr. Elliott's head had rested. The mtruder got away. The manhunt is. being led by Senior Detective W. R. MUrray, of Hamiltom_ „ _ '
