Preparations For Holidays
With the general election now decided, peop.e's thoughts are turning to preparations for the festive season. Local stores have the situation well in hand and housewives are beginning to appreciate that Christmas is less than two weeks away, and are busily engaged in laying in their stocks of foo'dstuffs, ^ecorations, gifts and the numefous other things which bring about "peace • on earth and goodwill' rowards all men." Prospects for the festive sea- ! son this year are the best since pre-war days.- Rationing has been iifted and shops are';carrying good stocks of foodstufi'4 toysi clothing and all other things nyhJbli gp to make up Christmas; * ■?
