Good Weather Experienced During November

Rain fell on eleven days during the month oi November with the heaviest fall (85 points) taking place on the 20th. The total for the month was 272 points, compared with 206 points 'during November, 1948, when rain fell on nine days. A frost of about one degree was recorded on November 10, this fo.lowing a cool period covering three days during which snow fell on the ranges. An electrical- storm was experienced during the night of the 3rd, but the month was generally very favourably served with fine, cairn days. These observations were made by Mr.. F. H. Critchley, of Tasman Beac'h. Summer "officially" starts on December 22. 1
