Mr. Corbett Increases His Majority
WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. The result of the lirst official count • in the Ueneral Election, was reeeived today by the Deputv Chief Electoral Oliicer, Mr. L. Irwin, from the Egmont electorate. The count increases the majority for Mr. E. B. Corbett (NatlonaL from 4477 tr 4539. Mr. Corbett secured 8G93 votes and his opponent, Mr. B. Richmond (Labour) 4154. Seventy-four informal votes were cast. The "results of otlier official counts are expected during this and next week.
