The voting was 43 to 5 with four abstentions, The committee reeommended the General Assembly fo commend the.. parties and welcome the forthcoming establishment of the republic of the •United States of Endonesia as an independent sovereign State. A resolution by the Ukraine calling for the withdrawal of Dutch troops, the creation of a commission of all members of Security Council ta inquire into the aetivities of the Dutch authorities, 'and the abolition of United Nations ' committee . in Indonesia, was rejeeted by the oommittee on the groundsthat the Security CQnncil stiU has the problem on it agenda, thus preventing the General Assembly from'making any positive recommendation.
