Australia Tightens Security Net
SYDNEY,' Dec. 3. A tight sehurity net is being thrown round Australia, preparatory to the secret atomic weapons trials at Eniwetok. The United States is now expected to allow at least one Australian observer to watch the tests. It is understood that America was not satisfield with the security arrangements at the Bikini tests in 1946 and 1948. Australia will watch the coastline for suspieious peraons who raay be passing through to the forbidden area.- A close watch will be. kept on ari'ivals ^ from Europe' and the East. |
