Received Sunday 7 p.m. RQME, Dec. 4. Scientists at the Mouut Ktna Obesrvatory announced that unless there were unforseen developments, the vcl cano 's eruption could be considered over. The main lava strea5m was cooh ing rapidlv and activity within the volcano vvaS at a standstill. The towns of Alaletto and Bronte which were endaagered bv molten lava, Sseaped destruetion, Some farm hausea- were engulfed a few miles from Maletto.
