Failure to overcome the bowlers casb'-'HorowhenuA' B thc - decision in their representative match against Rangitikei B at Levin on Saturday, when the visiting team won with a margin of 74 runs. Horowhenua batted first and five wickets fell for only nine runs. Dome appeared as if he might stay, but was out lbw before he could get into double figures. The only batsman to make a stand was France, who retumed a helpful 17. Bowling for Rangitikei, Woodhead captured four wickets at a cost of one run, Whale three, for 6 and Duncan two for 14. Rangitikei's innings was decidedly brighter, -with McCarthy (33) being the main contributor to the total of 118 runs. Others to reach double figures were Duncan (20) , Whale (17) and Woodhead and Hoskin (10 each). In the bowling Heatherwick claimed three wickets for 26 runs, France three for 30, Newth two for 21 and De Castro two for 22.
