Wife He was Glad to be Rid of
NEW YQRK, Dec. 3. A bus driver, Mr. James Larente, of Detriot, sought a divorce today from his wife (Virginia) eharging extrenie and repeated cruelty. He told the Court that since they were married in 1944 she had burned his hands with lighted cigarettes while he was driving, clawed his face while he was driving until blood ran, turned off the alarm elock so that 'he would be late for work, followed him into the bus heckling him and the passengers, stood in front of his bus and refused to move, tlius eausing him to he dismissed, got him into trouble with the taxation department by sending in an income tax return, but keeping the attached eheque, sold all their possessions, using the proceeds to go to New York. - Mr. Larente got his decree.
