TAXI RUNS DOWN STEPS
' NAPIER, Dec. 2. An elderly woman' was injured when a driverless taxi ran down a steep hill in Napier tonight and crashed down a fiight of steps. She is Mrs. E. J. Gunn, of 31 Simla Terrace, Napier, i . Mr. R. Davidson, - the - driver, had
stopped the taxi and alighted, when it ran away down Chaucer Road. He sprinted after it, but was caught against a fence. The vehicle continued, gathering speed as it went, till it crashed down the steps and came to rest badly damaged. Mrs. Gunn was admitted to the Napier Hospital suffering from abrasions and shock.
