For havin-g liquor in hds possession in the. vicinity of a dance hau at Ohau on Kovember 19, Thomas Derek Cg.moron paid a penalty of £3 and court costs 10s. He pleaded guilty by letter. - Also charged* with the same offence in respect of the Ihakara dance ha!!,. Brian Osmond Barb'er and John Henry .Co-e were convictedi and flnea £3. Costs in the case of Barber were lus and Cole 12p. Mr. J-. Todd appeared, for coth defendants, entering pleas of guilty on their behalf. Ailowing cow.s- to- wander on the road at Tokomaru cost three defendants £1 and court costs of 10s inj each case. Soiicitors' fees of £]j ls were allowed. The defendants were Leonard Henry Waghorn, Patrick D-. Murpny and Alexander Campbell. The charges were pref.erreci by the Horowhenua- County Council.
