Shooting At 500 Yards On Levin Range
The competition series of the Levin Defence Rifle Club was continued on Saturday with shoots over the 500-yard range. A light following fish tail wind Ikept the competitors on the alert. Several members also fired on the small bore range, the two best scores being returned by Mrs. A. LLumsden (90 — 95 — 185) and Mrs. R. Gurney (85 — 95 — 180) . Scores on the 500-yard range were: J. L. Graham 47 — 47 — 94, S. L. Lumsden 47 — 47 — 94, M. F. Fletcher 47—47—94, W. D. Carle 45 — 48 — 93, P. R. Catley 44—48— 92, R. R-. Rolston 46—46—92, S. C. Aanensen 48—44—92, F. R. Catley 47 — 44 — 91, F. J. Graham 43—46— 89, R. G. Gurney 44—43—87, K. A. Graham 41—44—85, A. L. Lumsden 38 — 40 — 78 and D. Standish 34 — 41—75. The Belt series will be continued next Saturday on the 600-yard range. / "
