Koputaroa W.I.'s Monthly Meeting

Arrangements for the Kimberley party and the institute Christmas party were finalised at the November meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Institute, presided over by Mrs. E. Baker. Members also, made a study of the schedule for| the Horowhenua A. and P. Show and a number of entries were arranged. As it was international month a member gave a prepared talk on Denmark, the country set for study during th'e current year. Letters of appreciation for the hospital boxes sent were read to the meeting. The motto for the month was given by> the hostesses, Mesdames Pene and McLaughlin. A collection was made

towards the A.C.W.W. fund. Competition results were as follows: — Best toy for Kimberley party, senior: Mrs. Sanson 1, Mrs. Thomson 2, Mrs. Brown 3; junior: Deborah Guy 1, Marie Brown 2, Beverley Horgan 3. Flower: Mrs. Gibson 1. Best rose, senior: Mrs. Netten 1; junior: Pauline Lancaster 1. Birthday honours for the month were ahxared by Mrs. Stratton and Bcvey'ey Horgan.
