Im 1939 the -cost was only 7s lUd. Nelson watersiders have the best record in-New Zealand for cargo-hanxlling per gang hour. "There is no doubt that .recent mliationary trends have created a very aerious problem, particularly when sucn added costs cannot be readiiy passeu passed on, " adds the report.
