Fat Hogget Values Easier At Levin Sale

At the Levin sale yesterday there was a large yarding of fat sheep, particularly hoggets, an'd in consequence prices showed a definite easing on previous saies. Fat wethers sold at late rates. Fat ewes also showed an easing tendency and sold at little above schedule prices. In the beef section there was not a very sfcrong flemand for extra prime ox, but' lighter flnished cattle sold mdre readily. A good yarding of heifer and cow beef met with recent prices. There was a large entry of porkers and baCdtiers, heavy baconers maintairting recent values, while lighter sorts and porkers were ddWfl on late rates. Quotations are: — Fat sheep: Prime wethers, 41s lOd to 42s 4d: medium do., 40s 4d to 41s 7d; fat ewes, 26s 7d to27s lOd; prime maiden ewes 32s ld; fat lambs, 40s 4d to 42s "ld; fat hoggets, 38s lOd to 42s 7d. Store sheen: Woolly ewes, 64 with 61 b.f. lambs at foot, 34s 6d all coiiiited. Pigsi Heavy prime bacohers, £7 to £7 6s; medium to heavy 'do., £6 to £0 18S; heavy porkers, £5 7s to £5 16s; lighter do., £4 15s to £5 10s, Store pigs: Weaners, 45s to 50s; runhers, £2 15s to £3 18s. Fat cattle; Light vealerg, £4 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d; heaVy do., £9 17s 6d to £11 12s 6d; light ox, £19 17s 6d to £22 7s 6d; prime heifers, £16 17s 6d to £17 2s 6d; CoWS, £14 17s 6d to £17 2s 6d. Store cattle: Cows, ex-dairy, £3 10s to £8.
