Public response to thf appea] made by the Levin. Scout Committee and Miniature Rifie Cluh for materials to assist 'in the' ereetion of a hall in Playf-o^d Park has not waned. Proof of this is the further quantity of materials, vaiued at £23 15s 6d, that has :been donated to the fun.d during the last three days./ . . , The appeal committee wishes. to acknowledge the following donations: — W. A. Creighton, eomplete .w.c. pedestal and fittings, valu,e £10, and plumbing services offered; Avery and Hahnah, w.c. .pedestal and sink, value £5 10s; building and Farmers' Supplies, Ltd., 12 locks, value £6; W. Bull, Ltd., seven dozen hQits, value £2 5s 6d. The Scouts atM Cubs will be making a houser-toi-honse canvass tomorrow to sell tichets for a picture benefit,. The fiim, "Black Beauty," will he shown in the Regent Thea.tre on December 14. The tatai' amount previously acknowledged was £172 6s 6d and the fund np.\y st-ands at £196. 2s. Any person wishlng to make a donation is advised to comihunlcate with the seeretary, .Mr. M. Wright, or any other committee member.
