Personal. Mrs. Moffatt, Senr., of Raumati Beach, is spending a holiday in Hawke's Bay.. j Mrs. P. Harper, of Te Horo, and • lier sister, Mrs. N. Chamberlain, have returned from a visit to Rotorua and Auckland. Mrs. A. G. Allan, of Otaki Railway, leaves in Becember for an extended holiday tour of the United Kingdom. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Mansell, of Te Horo, left at the end of the week on a holiday visit to the South Island, The death occurred at the Palmerston North Hospital on Friday of Mr. Fred. Bryan, of Tasman Beach. The death occurred at Palmerston North on Sunday of Irma Leah, widow of the late Mr. H. R. Balneavis, of Heretaunga. The deceased lady spenc her early days with her parents in Otaki. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Wilson, of Convent Road, after a three months' absence from Otaki on holiday, have returned to their home. Unfortunately Mr. Wilson had a spell in hospital while aw^y. Beneficial Rain. Following a spell of bright sunny days extending over two and a half weeks, rain set in -on Sunday night and continued throughout Monday, not abating until the afternoon. Mr. F. H. Critchley, of Tasman Beach, advises that the tatai rainfall for the two days ended at 9.30 a.m. Tuesday was 110 points.
