The " T.TT.C. special economic committee last night finally approved its report on the post-deval-uation wages policy, whicn is to be presented to the general council comorrow. The Dany Telegraph's indusirial correspondent says the committee's report urges the continuance of wages- restraint until the dol'iar gap crisis is over, with three qualifications: — Firstly, if , the retail prices index rises by six points— from 112 as„it is now to 118 — the wages position should he reconsidered; secondly, the. standstill should not apply to workers receiving sub-standard wages Uess than£5 weekly); thirdly, higher output should be rewarded with higner pay.
