Fat Wether Prices Recede At Levin Sale

At the Levin sale yesterday om extra large yarding of fat wethers produced a recession in values' to the extent of ls 6d per head. Fat hoggets were in over supply and dropped in price to the extent of 2s. per head, while spring lambs and fat ewes -maintained a steady sale. In the store sheep section three or four oen^of shorn wether hoggets met with a ksen demand. Another heavy yarding of porkers, baconers and store pigs again produced keen competition, the sale improving slightiy towards the latter end. Dairy and store cattle yardings were light, buyers not showing much interest. In the fat cattle section short yardings of vealers , produced keen bidding, high prices being reached. Prime ox, heifers and cow beef sold well at recent market rates. Fat ex-dairy cows were in over supply, causing a drop on last week's sale.
