WOMEN'S RECORD BROKEN
DUNEDIN, Nov. 20. At the Otago Amateur Athletic Assoeiation's ineeting on Saturday, Miss Yvette Williams, New Zealand women ;s broad jump and sliot putt champion, Joroke the New Zealand women 'a broad jump record by half an inch. The foriner record of 18ft. 2Hn. was established by Miss E. E. Munro (Auckland) in 1938. Miss Williams also bettered the New Zealand women 's shot putt record of 36ft. O-Jin., held by herself but this cannot be recognised because offieial eonditions were not complied with.
