Time Off For Voting. A rec~mmendation that retailers adopt the same procedure as in 1946 in regard to time-off "for voting, was made at a recent meetmg of the Manawatu Drapers', Clothiers' and Boot Retailers' Association. The procedure followed at the last Gene^l E.ection was ihat* all staff workod till 1 p.m. when the shops closed to enable the staff to take their lunch hour with no return to work in the afternoon.
