Good Initial Response To Hall Appeal
Levin business houses and, citizens are rallying round in . a very encouraging manner' with as-r sistance for the joint. committee of the Levin Boy Scouts and Levin Miniature Rifie Club to find the finance and materials for the erection of their building at Play- , ford Park. The building is e'stimated to cost £1500 and in the last few days £122 of this aapount - in materials and money has come in from many quarters. Here are the donations to date: — Previously acknowledged, £52; Levin Rotary' Club, chimney and fire placd, value £25; Mr. A. Hastedt, four sash window, value £15 4s; Messrs Cappers, Ltd., cartage, value £15; Messrs Hudson and Burnham, donation, £10; Messrs Howard and Bleakley, donation, £5; total to date, £122 4s. The pubiic are asked to watch the show window of Quinn's Store, • Oxford Street, for a graph showing the progress of donations. Intending donors are asked to contact the treasurer, Mr. M. Wright, or members of the committee. The hall, when finished, will be a valuable asset to Playford Park and to the seouls and rifie club as their future home.
