League Of Mothers Meets
The November meeting of the Levin League of Mothers was presided over by Mrs, W. Mudgway, who welcomed visitors and members. Mrs. Kennerley gave the magaKine reading and Mrs. Burllng the thtmght, "Start a kind word on its way; • there is no telling how much good it will dp before' it stops." ,The kitchen quiz was won by Mrs. Bartholomew. An interestipg talk on China was given by Mr. Cormack. He invited members to ask questions and gave an outline of the work done by Rewi Alley and Corso. Mr. Cormack displayed many pieces of Cxquisitely-worked linen wpich was the envy of all present.- He said that most of this handwork Was dione by men. He also showed some flne hand-carved ivory and filigree (silver) ware. Mr. Cormack. was accorded u hearty vote of thanks, moved by Mrs. Bartholomew.
