Miniature Rifle Club's Wind-Up Social

The • Poroutawhao ' Miniature Rifle Club held a very enjoyable wind-up to a successful season in the form of a sjcial and dance on Saturday night. The winners of . the novelty dandes were Mr. M. Speirs and Miss B. Carle and Mr. C> Fisher and Mrs. K. Green. The successful players in the card competitions were Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Julian. Consolation prizes went to Mr. C. H. Arcus and Mrs. A. L. Lumsden. The master of ceremonies was Mr. C. H. Arcus. During the past season members of the club have participated in outside open championships and experienced some successes. Three members have been among the four most sucessful entrants in the Horowhenua Association's aiggregate. The club has also won the Champion Club Shield and the C Orade Shield. Miss M. Kilsby has won. 'the Eenning Rose Bowl and S. Irumsden the Association Aggregate cup. The club's A team hol'ds the honour of having eompiled the highest total for a team shoot.
