Intoxicated Driver Sent To Gaol
• AUCKLAND, Nov. 14. One month's gaol with hard labour, a £50 fine, three years' disqualification from driving, and the payment of costs was the sentence imposed on Claude Raymond LCwis, aged - 37, a labourer, by Mr H." jenner Wily, S.M., in the Police Court today. : Lewis had pleaded guilty to being intoxicated in charge of a car in Karangahape Road on Saturday evening, driving a car while disqualified, and procuring liquor" while prohibited. The police said . that Lewis was involved in a minof collision. When examined later he wa's drunk. He appeared at Otahuhu in September last and was fined £25 and disqualified.
