AUCKLAND, Nov. 12. A personal attack on the Leadfer of the National Party, Mr Holland, was made by 'Mr T. E. Skinner, Labour candidate for Tamaki, in an address at Ellerslie last night. In reply to another question Mr Skinner said Mr Holland treated his own worfeers well only because it was an economic necessity to do so. Mr - C. F. Skinner said it was the first time in his career that he had appeared on the platform with another Skihner. "It is a pity Walter is not here and we would -have the three skinners on the platform," said the speaker. The Minister quickly qualified this remark by saying he had heard Mr Nash referred to as a skinner but he wasn't as bad as that. After both members had addressed the meetipg, a vote of confldence in the Government was carried with acclamation, after which three cheers were given for "the bookmakers' dream — two Skinners.
