NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 11. Concerned at the nuanner in which the engine of his Tiger Moth aircraft was performing, a Palmerston North Aero Club pilot-(Mr. E. West) made a successful landing in a large paddock at Waitoetoe near Urenui late' this afternoon. The aircraft was undamaged, "but it is expected to he two or three days before the engine trouble is remedied. Mr. West was fiying from Palmerston North to Auckland via New Plymouth and Hamilton. When passing over Urenui he felt dissatisfled with the .performance of the engine and decided to land. He selected a long straight paddock and put his aircraft down quite successfully.
