Slump In Shipping Freights Persists
^ Eeeeived Wednesdav, 3.55 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 9. The special shipping correspondent of the Financial Times says that the fall in freight business is persisting ana that in alinost everv export marker there is difficultv in finding employment for all the tramp sliips available. So far the majority of tonnage laid up has been foreign-owned but British owners are also on occasion taking heavy punishment. Freight rates have now been eut to so fine a margin that it is very easy for owners to find themselves involved in losses.
