Change American Pork For New Zealand Lamb

Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. NEW YORK, Nov. 8. A plan t.o excliange American pork for Australian and New Zealand lamb has been submitted to the British Food "Ministry, said the importer, Mr. Alfred Benjamin. The proposal is that 115,000 tons of pork which is in surplus supply here and scarce in the United Kingdom be exchanged for 100,000 tons of frozen lamb bouglit in Australia and New Zealand bv Britain. Lamb is in- short supply here. Mr. Benjamin, who is president of the Anglo-American Trading Corportion, said between 50,000,000 and 75,000,000 dollars would be involved in the transaction, but Britain would not be rerpiired to pay out dollars.
