Bateman, of Grand Street, wUl regret to learn thafc he is eonfined to his bed on account of Ulness. ♦ Mr. and Mrs. Jim CampbeU, who have been holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. M. J. CampbeU, Vance Street, returned to their home at Featherston yesterday morning. Tidying Up Of Streets. A general tidying up of the borough streets is ac present oeing undertaken. A start has been made with the cutting of the grass and the employment of a tract-r mbwer is speeding up the work. Many householders are co-oper-ating by laying lawns in front of their homes and within the next few weeks the town wiU be Iooking very attractive. It is to be hoped that the long, grass beside the main highway wiU receive similar treatment before the Christmas holidays.
