Government Service Tribunal Appointed
WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) annouuccd today that following the' ainen dment to the Government Serviees Tribunal Act last session the Governn.ent has decided to approve the follow-l ing appointments to the Government > Service Tribunal: .Tudge W. F. Stilwell as chariman; Mr. .T. A. F. Fngel as ro- j presentative of the Government; Mrj J. W. Uavidson as representative of the employees 011 the nomi nation of tho organisations concerned. The appointment by the GqvenxorI General of Mr. W. F. Btihvell as a judge of the Arbitratxon Court, itieans that the Tribunal as now constituted will be in aecord with the agreements1 reaciied betweeu tthe Govenunent. and the Public Service organisations. The representative ot the Government, Mr. Engel, is Deputv DirectorGeneral on the administrtivo side of the Dopartnicnt of Health. Mr Davidson, who has becn ajipointed on the iocommendation of the Public Service organisations, is employed in the Child Welfare branch of the Department of Education. In regard lo the aniendment to ihe Government Service Tribunal Act oi 11149 whcre provision is made i'or the appointment of a conciliator the Government has decided to appoint Mr B. L. Dallard, unt.il recentlv UmlerSecretarv of .Tustice and ControllerGeneral of Prisons. Hon. R. Eddy, M.L.C., present representative of the employee organisations, has resignod, as has Mr E. Oasey, who has been acting as Govenunent representative on the Tribunal.
