HAWERA, Nov. 4. * The Lea'der, of the • Na'tfonaf Party, Mr. S. G. Holland, was greeted enthusiastically toy an overflow audienee of 1100 electors in the Hawera Opera House last night. The warmth of the reeeption hy "the people, many of whom. had waited in their seats for over an hour, prompted Mr. Holland to contrast the size of his meetings with those of thePrime Minister, although. -he, (Mr. Holland) was following closely hahind Mr. Fraser's addresses for this early part at least of the respective itineraries. "The Prime Minister knows that the ■National Party's campaign is going extraordinarily well," said Mr. Holland amidst rounds of applause. "We are on the up and up." 4 Referring again to the list of questions on the National Party's financial policy which had been submitted to him by the Prime Minister, Mr. Holland reiterated that he was not going to allow anyone, be it the Prime Minister or anyone else, to divert him from the course he had set. "Mr. Fraser has tried to introduce something new into politics," said Mr. Holland. "He has established himself as a kind of political quiz master and is attempting to change the taetics of the National Party. He has introduced a policy that if one's campaign is not going weir then lash. out and say that one's opponent's is going worse. "He has asked me a whole string of questions, but I am too old a bird to be caught by pieces of chaff, so the Prime Minister answers the questions himself, tears those answers to ribbons and shows how ridiculous they are. I prefer to leave the Prime Minister in undisputed ^possession of that field in which he is a champion." .
