+ This year's winner of the annual '.ravelling scholarship awarded by the New Zealand Society of Accountants is Mr. H. G. Hay, •B.Com., A.R.A.N.Z., of Christchurch. Mr. Hay, who is aged 21, will go to England in a feW months to gain experience in company accounting there. The scholarship is worth £200 a year for two years. Friends of Miss Colleen Dobson, formerly of Levin, will be pleased to learn that she was awarded three. silver cups for her success in gaining first places in the Highland flihg, reel and sailor's hornpipe at" the annual Eisteddfod, held at Granville, near Sydney. In addition she secured second place in the sword- dance. Miss Dobson, while residing in Levin, was a pupil of Mrs. Elliot, and was a frequent . performer at functions in th.e district.
