Man's Death In Tragic Circumstances
DUNEDIN, Nov. 2. A resident of Alilton. niet a tragic death in the early hours of this morning when the rooms he oceupied vvere gutted by tire. Deeeased wa? Archibland ALcDonald Whytock, ageil 41), a single mau and a plumber. The tire was first discovered by a nearbv resident about 3.10 a.iu.. The building was an old oue and the tire liad a stroug liold by the linie the brigade arrived. The outbreak apparentlv started in the bedroom which was gutted. Other paris of the building vvere also badlv dauiaged. The charred remains of Air Whytock vvere found in the bedroom. An inquest vvas opened and was ad.journed sine die to enable a post mortem exaininatiou to be condueted.
