Under pertect conditions, a large crowd3 attended the officiai closing of the Levin Golf Club's season at Ches'lyn Rise on Saturday, thus bringing to an end the most successful season to date. A Canadian foursome was played over 18 holes and following afternoon tea the trophies were presented as follows: — Championships And Cups. Senior championship : W. G'. Clark; runner-up: B. Eagar. Intermediate championship : J. Corbishley; runner-up: D. Tomlinson. Junior championship: T. Ecclesfield; runner-up: R. A. Jones. Karakamea cup: B. Eagar; run-ner-up: J. Todd. Nicholson cup: G. Barclay. Foursomes hahdicap: .A. Landers and D Tomlinson; foursomes flight: S. C. Franklin and B. Eagar. Presi'dent's trophy: A. Saundersi Captain's trophy: H. W. S. Walker. Weekly Competitions. April. — Foursomes handicap: H. Richards and A. Clarke. Medal: B. J; Antcliff. Medal: F. ton.May. — Bogey: F. Carrington. Medal: P. Rogers. Stableford: B. J. Antcliff. June: Fourball best-ball bogey: J. McDonald and S. Gledhill. Medal: M. C. Wilson. July. — Bogey: F. Veysey. Medal: R. Jones. Fourball best-ball bogey: H. Richards and G. Barclay. August. — Medal : G. Barclay. September. — Stableford: A. Clarke. Me'dal: R. Jones. October. — Medal: W. S. Ogier. Women's Trophies. Senior championship: Mrs. Has.edt; runner-up: Mrs. Franklin. Junior championship: Mrs. Dickinson; runner-up: Miss - Herrick. Park rose bowl: Mrs. H. Black; runner-up: Mrs. Richards. Aratangata cup: Mrs. Franklin; runner-up: Mrs. Richards. Tararua pairs: Mrs. Franklin and Miss Kilsby; runners-up: Mesdames Ryder and Travers. Captain's trophy: Mrs. Hastedt. Senior eclectic: Mrs. Richards. Junior eclectic: Mesdames Clarke and Travers. Silver medal: Mrs. Hastedt. Bronze medal: Miss Fox. .The closing day foursome was won by Mrs. Dickinson and T. J. Coutie. A special trophy was awarded to the man who never swings a club, but without whom no one else could do so — the green-keeper, Mr. E. Joll. And so the golfers disperse for five or six months, the more energetic to play some other sport, J and the others to worry about | their game and to hope for better j things to come. .Un.il next season, \ then, "Duffer" will be placed on j the reserve list.
