BUSY SEASON FACES LEVIN LADIES' CLUB

Following a successful opening day, and with an active membership now approaching 60, the Levin Ladies' Bowling Club has started a busy season. At the opening of • the Otaki Ladies' Club Levin was represented by Mesdames Lacey. Lester, Cormack and Routley. Two rinks also went to the Shannon ladies' function. They comprised Mesdames Ward, Cormack, Wickens and Lacey (s), and Mesdames Tilyard, Sharp, Sherwood and Gibson (s) . Held each Thursday, the first Le„t Brooches pairs competition resulted in a win for Mesdames Nichols an'd Gardiner (s). An invitation has been extended to the Levin Central Club to visit the ladies' club on November 9. The following Levin ladies have cntered for the centre pairs tournament, to be held at Palmerston North on November 9: Mesdames Routley and Wjckens (s), Mesdames Lacey an'd C.
