Levin Beat Otaki Railway In Rose Bowl Game
The first of the two matches each season between the Otaki Railway and Levin Bowling Olub's for the Webster Rose Bowl was played on Saturday at Levin. Pive of the six games played were Won by Levin, who thus retain the trophy. The second game takes place on the Railway green later in the season. Zepeeky, Rule, Winterburn, Green (s) 9 lost to Moss, H. Henderson, Laurie, Wenham (s) 35. Vernon, Hakaraia, Jarman, Connor (s) 13, lost to Kilsby, Haswell, Harvey, Rolfe (sj 15. Gurney, Garrett, Ralph, Webster (s) 13, lost to Scott, Vincent, Lemmon, A. O. Powell (sj 23. Watt, Hook, Evans, Henderson (s) 16 lost to Smith, Wickens, Fitzgerald, Hill (s) 21. Marchant, Oliver, Rich, Hughes (s) 23, beat George, Denton, Burnham and Nicholson (s) 20.
