CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 1. "You wouldn't be kidding, would you?" asked incredulous Mr. F. J. Neale, of Stanmore Road, when told by a reporter this morning that he had won the , first prize of £10,000 in an overseas consuitation. Mr. Neale, a butcLer whose shop is at 270 Stanmore Road, provec hard to convince but finally found his ticket number and saw that it tallied with the official list. The ticket was taken out by a syndicate comprisipg Mr. Neale and members of his family. He has been buying tickets for some time and has not previously won a prize. Mr. Neale -was non-committal when asked what he proposed to do with the nioney. "I will wait till I see it first," he said, still dubious but admitting that by [ now his knees were knocking slightly with excitement. Mr. Neale left his shop at lunch time to warn his family that things might be looking up.
