DUNEDIN, Oct. 29. The Government did rnot at the monient consider enteriug into anv sul>stantial negotiatioiis for a dollar lonn with t.hc United 'States, said the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash) todav. ' "The only conditions on which ne gotiations for a ioan will take place will be for dollar equipment which will expaud our experts to serve and repay the loau, said the Miuister. Financial authorities in the United States Government had said they wero wiiling at anv time to discuss New Zealand's requirements in counection with projects requiring capital equipment available in the United States, said Mr Nash. Any equipment required which would entail dollar ex-, penditure, and which would add to the production of the Dominion, both foi internal consumption and for export, would be examined.
