Britain Planning To Meet Adverse Reaction

Received Monday, 9.20 a.m. SINGAPORE, Oct. 30. Plans for coping with any adverse reaction which may arise in Malaya and Hong Rong following recognition by Britain of the Communist regime in Chind are expected to be thrashed out at a high level conference called by the Commissioner-General in Southeast Asia, Mr. Malcolm McDonald. Bfitain's top-tanking ' fepresentatives throughout Asia and the Far East are now converging on Singapore for the talks, which open on November 2. Mr. David Rees-Williams, Parliamenvary Qnder-Secretary at the Colonial Office, senior Foreign Office representatives and British Navy, Army and Air Force chiefs in the Far East will also attend the conference.
