Received Sunday 8.15 p.m. DURBAN, Oct. 30. Australia snatching a first innings lead of 131 turned the tables on Natal today in the sqcond day of the threeday mateh. The hostile Australian attack backed with splendid fielding bundled Natal out for 144 on a faster wicket than yesterday. Morris and Moroney began the tourists' seeond innings soundly and at stumps Australia with 215 for no wiekets was 346 ahead. Apart from the determined Wade, who was run.out for 41, and the hardhitting Tayfield, the Natal bastmea failed before the lively attaek led by Walker who worked up a fiery pace. Australia looked like a Test team today and Walker 's sustain-ed pace, McCool's surprisingly good control in gusty conditions and Noblet's length bowling were lieartening to the tourists. laa Johnson bowled up to his Australian form and took the honours. The wicket was much harder than yesterday but scarred in parts and unevenly grassed when the Natal innings resumed this morning. Play opened on an exciting note when Fell sprinted for a sharp single from the fourth ball of Walker 's opening over and was brilliantly thrown out by Harvey. Turner and Nourse were both snapped up behind in quick succession as the fortunes of the game swung against Natal. Dawson and Wade set about to effect a recovery, but Johnson 's flight trapped Daws>-n after he made nine in 64 minutes. Wade played solidly and Tayfield was deeidedly uncomfortable against Walker 's fast balls although he punished McCool's slows. Tayfield held the fort for 61 minutes and hit four fours. - Morris and Moroney blended fluent stroke-making with cairn defence in their opening stand. With rans blazing off their bats the pair passed 100— which Moroney hoisted with a sixer— in 82 minutes, and Morris hit Australia 's first first-class century of the tour in 120 minutes.
