AUCKLAND, Oct. 19. Beef was penned in more than avera^e numbex-s at Westfield. Values were flrm for all classes and there was steady demand. An average yarding of sheep met steady competition. Spring lambs, penned in an inereased supply, were easier. There was a smaller yarding of calves, with prime vealers and runners in demand. Pork prices eased slightly, with a firm sale for bacon.
