Lacey, officiating' pn "behalf of the president, "Mrs. C. Gibson. fcs. Lacey weicomed visitors' from other clubs' and read telegrams from the president of the Manawatu Centfe, Mrs. M. Woodrpofe, and the Kelburn Bowling Club, in which the " hope - was • expresse'd that. the Levin club wpuld experience % successful ahd enjoyable season." ' Apologies were* received from the - Levin R.S.A. Bowling Club. Both the Levin Bowling Ciub ah4> Qentral Bowling Cliip were repr'esented and also the Te Kayfika " Lodge ^owling CJub. ' ? Burdekin. who aisp. wisned the club every suceess. The Mayoress, Mrsi. Burdekin, then put up the jack and Mrs. W. Lett, the fouhdation president, bowled- the first toowl.
