Greyhound Racing Notes
Local greyhound owners raced at Foxton on Saturday with a fair arnount of success. The Foxton Greyhound Racing Club wiil race fortnightly and to hold the interest of owners has started an owners' points prize to close at the end of March. From now on ihere will be very keen competition and Mr. F. Brunell is second with 14 points, nine behind the leader. The Novice Flat was won very easily by Palluna for Mr. Brunell and the same dog ran a close third in the Limit Flat. Mr. Brunell had a narrow but excellent win in the Puppy Race with Blackpool Sam,. who beat his sister, Understudy, by half a head in a great race. The Open Hurdles was won by Mr. Allan Brooks' good dog, Master Luna. Racing at the same meeting was Luna's Pal, who is the father of Palluna and Master Luna, and this great hurdle dog won both Progress Hurdles very comfortably. XJnluckily this grand old dog is unsound and cannot race very often, but makes his presence'-ifelt when he appears.
